Cayton Bay is a shallow sandy beach with a long tidal range. This image is taken at low tide. At high tide the beach is completely covered. The shallow water appeals to dogs. However, swimming is only recommended in a small area of the beach which is patrolled by lifeguards in the season. The part of the beach shown in this image has a number of hidden rocks.
