Burgh Castle Reach, Norfolk

Bastion at Burgh Castle

Uploader's Comments

A wonderful example of one of the many bastions on site; they would have a rock or arrow launcher on top. The original knapped flint is still there, too high to rob. The flints are held together with concrete, a great Roman investion.
