Brownmoor Dale, North Yorkshire

Linear earthwork Brownmoor Dale

Uploader's Comments

The public footpath up Brown Moor Dale turns to run alongside this linear earthwork which forms the field boundary. It is a Scheduled Monument and part of a much larger group around Aldro Farm. The earthwork is probably Bronze Age and probably marks a boundary between Acklam Wold and Hanging Grimston Wold.
