A slight slope on the west side of the brow reveals a vast moorland landscape culminating in the higher fells that cluster around the heads of Longsleddale, Mardale and Mosedale. A few small snow patches still linger on Harter Fell and High Street. Prominent in the middle distance is [[802099]] on the spur of Brunt Tongue.
