The full extent of the landslip is not readily apparent from sea level but it extends back from the shore line by several hundred metres and considerable height. This active slip makes access from the coast path quite impractical and dangerous. The only sensible way to access Redcliff Point (other than by boat!) is a slow and laborious clamber over a boulder strewn beach-but check your tides as it's easy to get cut off and climbing up is unrealistic.
