The picture was taken from the path beside the Greenock Cut. The burn flows past a crag, called Ravens Craig, about 170 metres ahead; it is to the right (north-east) of the burn, but not visible in this view because of the vegetation. This is perhaps the feature that gave rise to the name Ravenscraig, which the map applies to an area further to the north-east, in [[NS2575]].
