Concealed Pillbox at Seatown

Uploader's Comments

Seatown, also known locally as Botany, is an abandoned village at Rattray head. After the great storm in the 1720's landlocked what is now the Loch of Strathbeg, with the resultant end of fishing, Rattray Estate built a village around 1795. The harsh living conditions finally drove the tenants out in the early to mid 1900's.
