Blanchland Moor, Carlisle

Heather moorland on south side of Blanchland Moor

Uploader's Comments

The wall in view to the right side of the image demarcates enclosed farmland about the farm at Pennypie House and the grouse moor beyond to the north. The worn line over the moor is not an actual farm or estate road - i.e. not a constructed route - but one worn into the land by multiple passages of vehicles, mainly, one imagines, quad bikes.
