The Black Burn is the main watercourse draining the south side of Collier Law, the summit of which is near to the aerial on the skyline. The two huts are for the use of grouse shooters, the larger one being a recent construction presumably replacing the other. Another recent addition to the landscape, again for the benefit of grouse hunters is the estate road climbing towards the aerial; less obtrusive in this image than when the ground is free of snow cover.
