Birchinlee West Plantation, Derbyshire

Former beer cellar

Uploader's Comments

This was the cellar of the Derwent Canteen, which was used by the residents of Birchinlee - the 'tin town' built to house the workers on the Derwent Dams in the early 20C. Little now remains of the village which once had over 900 residents. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Birchinlee
