Primarily used for Radio and TV transmissions. Built by the BBC 1969/71. It is a guyed steel tube to 290m (951ft) extented to 314.6m (1032ft) with a fibreglass UHF aerial mounted on the top. BBC, ITV and nine analogue radio stations plus four digital ones use the mast at this time. The change over in 2012 will alter some of these figures.
