If you start the climb of Beinn Mhor (the highest mountain on South Uist) at Mill Croft [[NF767346]], a route described in some guides, there is a nice track at the start. But after a kilometre, at this spot, it just stops! After that, navigationally speaking (and probably in other senses as well), for the 5km to the 620m summit you are on your own!
