Abbots Bickington, Devon

St James's Church, Abbots Bickington

Uploader's Comments

This was overgrown with ivy when Nikolaus Pevsner visited it. He thought it pretty, but it wasn't good for the fabric, and it has now been removed. The windows indicate a 13C building. It has not been enlarged by the addition of aisles. I should think that the south transept is or was probably a side chapel.
