The Mormon temple was opened in 1958 during my childhood, appearing beside the A22 (seen cutting diagonally across the image) amongst occasional visits to Eastbourne or Ashdown Forest, and I was always confused by the place name; had it been renamed in the temple's honour? The lake at the top is Wire Mill Lake.
