Cavalier Cottage

Uploader's Comments

This is a Grade II listed cottage with English Heritage Building ID: 360618. It is dated 1653 on the front of the building which is built of coursed, squared limestone banded with ironstone. There is a thatch roof with a brick ridge and end stacks on stone bases. The limestone is easy to work but friable. Strength is built in by adding the hard ironstone. The whole gives a very pleasing appearance.
