Spring Wood, Essex

St Mary's church, West Bergholt

Uploader's Comments

The north wall of the nave has been dated to 1000 A.D. Excavations on the west end show that it was originally built of timber and that some of this was incorporated into the belfry. The south aisle and the chancel were added in the C14.
