Drigg Holme Packhorse Bridge

Uploader's Comments

The Drigg Holme packhorse bridge, originally known as Oxholme bridge, has carried travellers across the Irt since medieval times and was on a well known packhorse route from Ravenglass north through Drigg. The existing bridge carries a stone which is dated 1772, has a 39 foot span and is 70 inches between the parapets.
