Raby, County Durham

Back of heated garden wall, Raby Castle

Uploader's Comments

The wall is hollow, and can be heated by a fire to give early season development of fruit in the walled garden. The chimney can be seen on top of the wall. This view is the back of the wall, seen from the stables. See [[1403797]] for view of garden beyond the wall.
