One of the group of three farms re-sited when the reservoir was constructed in 1900. Gouthwaite Farm together with Gouthwaite Hall http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/5534881 incorporates elements of the 17th century Gouthwaite White Hall which would otherwise have been inundated and is Listed Grade II.
