The Cambir (216 m) and Soay (376 m) from Mullach Mor (361 m)

Uploader's Comments

Glen Bay with the island of Soay in the distance. After the island was evacuated in August 1930, sheep were rounded up on Soay and transported by boat to Hirta where they were released. Today's Soay Sheep on Hirta are the descendants of this introduced stock. The initial introduction of the sheep to Soay is a mystery, but it may have been in Viking times.
