Lochan a' Chothruim, Highland

Allt a' Cothruim

This burn gave its name to a geographical term, the english spelling of which eludes me. A "corrum" is a river that falls down a valley wall hitting the glen floor exactly at the watershed forming a delta. Some of the river flows one way, and some the other. Once this happened here, but road works diverted all the water into Loch Sunart, none flowing now towards Loch Linnhe. The name lives on in geomorphology texts, this is what is left of the original article.
