Tree overhanging the River Arkaig

Uploader's Comments

Although the main right-bank footpath from Bunarkaig only follows the River Arkaig as far as the footbridge across towards Achnacarry, a smaller path carries on into the forest to an area where a lot of Rhododendron ponticum clearing has been going on. This path provided this view of a tree overhanging a flat reach of the river with a brief glimpse of sunlight on what had otherwise been a very overcast and wet day (not entirely untypical of the area). The rain resumed only a few minutes later.
