The track leads to a bridge over the former Hull to York Railway line. Although in this photograph the bridge looks to be sound, on closer inspection, huge cracks are evident in the top of the brickwork on either side. There are plans to re-instate this railway.... but I don't think that it will be the present bridge that will traverse it due to its poor state of repair!
