Corbar Hill lies north-west of Buxton and the town can be seen below in this image. The railings seen to the left side of the photograph enclose a small area where stood and stands again, Corbar Cross! The original cross was felled by a protester objecting to the visit of the Pope in 2010; the replacement was erected in May 2011 - http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-derbyshire-13469650
