Coots on Cold Hiendley reservoir

Uploader's Comments

Built in 1854 to feed the Barnsley Canal. It is lower than the canal, so water had to be pumped up. Cold Hiendley proved to be too small, so Wintersett reservoir was added in 1874, to the west and above.
