This red fungus was growing on the grass bank of the lane leading to Colbost Jetty (Cidhe Chalaboist). The base of the stem and the flesh are yellow, and there is no volva, or ring round the stem. They appear on grassland during the autumn. http://www.first-nature.com/fungi/hygrocybe-coccinea.php
