This is the wide green way leading from Shobdon church to the Shobdon Arches, all that remains of the original Norman church which was demolished by Viscount Bateman in the 18th century. A couple of centuries and more of wind and rain have meant that some of the original fine detail of the carving has been lost. A visit to the church at Kilpeck may give an idea of what may have been lost.
