Duty Point Tower to the Valley of Rocks-North Devon

Uploader's Comments

This view eastwards was taken from beside Duty Point Tower and looks over to the two rocky piles Castle Rock and Rugged Jack. The tower was built in the mid 19th century as a folly, allegedly and was Grade II listed on 3rd September 1973. History is so far silent on who built it, whether it was once perhaps a Customs lookout or some sort of summerhouse and on where the name Duty Point came from.
