Rapid at Gruinards - take-out for the River Carron

Uploader's Comments

At the low water levels seen here, it really isn't worth carrying on any further down the River Carron, even though there are the odd rapids downstream. In higher levels (this shot was taken during an unseasonal drought at Easter 2013) it might well be more fun to blast on down, but this is the take-out recommended by the guidebook, with a walk back upstream, through a gate and up to a layby on the road.
