Covering 40 hectares, Launde Big Wood is one of the largest ancient woodlands in Leicestershire and Rutland. The wood is dominated by Ash with Pedunculate Oak, Hazel and Field Maple. The rich shrub layer contains species such as Guelder Rose and Crab Apple.
