Line of the old railway to Wartnaby ironstone quarries

Uploader's Comments

The line of trees marks the alignment of the narrow gauge line which linked Wartnaby ironstone quarries to the Midland Railway at Old Dalby Station. Although the quarries and railway closed in 1927, the railway is still largely traceable to the point at which it entered the quarrying area.
