Announcing that the village is twinned with "Naiads, Dryads and Napaeads". The village website explains: Naiads - A River or Spring Nymph, Dryads - A wood Nymph, Napaeads - A Shy Valley Nymph. The residents had fought a successful campaign against the diverting of local rivers
