There are 3 or 4 of these little hillocks at the bottom of the scarp at Wintringham South Wold Brow, and one is intrigued to know why they are here. They certainly don't look man made [although there is some evidence of chalk pits], and they don't appear to be the result of landslips. The geological map confirms that they are chalk, so they remain a mystery.
