Seathwaite.-- eccl. dist., Kirkby Ireleth par., N. Lancashire, adjacent to the Cumberland border, pop. 165; P.O. Seathwaite Fell is 4 miles NW. of Coniston and 1 mile N. of Seathwaite Tarn. Seathwaite Vale descends to the Duddon, is 4 miles long, and is flanked on the right by Greyfriars Mountain and on the left by the Old Man of Coniston and Dow Crag.
