Redbourn, par. and vil. with ry. sta., Herts, on river Ver, 4½ miles NW. of St Albans by road and 4½ miles NE. of Hemel Hempstead by rail, 4563 ac., pop. 2177; P.O., T.O.; has silk mills; near vil. is Redbourn House, seat; a cell to St Alban's Abbey was founded here in the 12th century.
