Mucking, par. and vil., Essex, on river Thames, 4 miles NE. of Tilbury sta., 2217 ac. and 293 tidal water and 167 foreshore, pop. 251; a nunnery was formerly here; on Mucking Flat, 2 ½ miles E., is Mucking Light-house, with occulting light (Sea Reach) seen 11 miles.
