Moniaive, vil., Glencairn par., W. Dumfriesshire, at confluence of Dalwhat and Craigdarroch Waters, 7 miles SW. of Thornhill, pop. (including Dunreggan) 699; P.O., T.O., 1 Bank. Moniaive is a burgh of barony under charter of Charles I.
