Mallwyd, vil., Merioneth, and par., partly also in Montgomeryshire, on river Dyfi, 2 miles SE. of Dinas Mowddwy, 16,450 ac., pop. 1283; is noted for its beautiful scenery, and is a resort of anglers and artists; in the churchyard is a yew-tree of great size.
