Kintore, parl. and royal burgh, and par., with ry. sta., Aberdeenshire--par., 9092 ac., pop. 2327; parl. and royal burgh, on river Don, 3 miles SE. of Inverurie and 13 miles NW. of Aberdeen, pop. 661; P.O., T.O., 1 Bank. Kintore gives the title of earl and baron to the Keith-Falconers. It is a royal burgh under charter of William the Lion. It forms one of the Elgin District of Parliamentary Burghs, which returns 1 member.
