Kilrenny, parl. and royal burgh, and par., Fife, on Firth of Forth - par., 3776 ac., pop. 3198; royal burgh, pop. 2730; parl. burgh and town, pop. 2759; P.O.; the royal burgh consists of two parts - the small rural vil. of Upper Kilrenny, and the important fishing vil. of Cellardyke or Nether Kilrenny, 1½ m. NE. and 1 m. E. of Anstruther sta.; the town forms part of Anstruther; the parl. burgh is one of the St Andrews District of Parliamentary Burghs, which returns 1 member.
