Gwithian.-- par. and vil., W. Cornwall, near mouth of river Gwithian, 7 miles W. of Redruth, 2420 ac., pop. 614; has remains of an ancient oratory which was long buried in the sand; the blown sand is now, however, largely fixed by sea-rush. On the coast is Gwithian Point.
