Findhorn (or Invererne), vil. with harb., Kinloss par., Elginshire, on Findhorn Bay at mouth of river Findhorn, 2¾ miles NW. of Kinloss sta. and 12 miles NW. of Elgin, pop. 605; P.O.; is the centre of the fishery dist. extending from Buckie to Cromarty, and has some shipping trade. The vil. has heen twice destroyed by the shifting of the Culbin Sands.
