Clun, market town and par., S. Shropshire, on river Clun, 5½ miles N. of Knighton and 150 miles NW. of London, 19,782 ac., pop. 2247; P.O., T.O., 1 Bank. Market-day, Thursday; has some remains of a Norman castle, said to have been the scene of Scott's Betrothed.
