Cadder, par. and vil., NW. Lanarkshire, on Forth and Clyde Canal, 1½ mile NE. of its post-town and sta., Bishop-Briggs, and 5 miles N. of Glasgow, 13,969 ac., pop. 6965. At Robroyston, in this par., Sir William Wallace was betrayed and captured, 5th August 1305.
