Allonby, ecclesiastical district and seaport vil., West Newton and Allonby township, Bromfield par., Cumberland, on Allonby Bay, 6 miles NE. of Maryport, pop. 542; P.O. It is a sea-bathing resort, and was the birthplace of Joseph Huddart, the hydrographer (1741-1816).
