Yazor, Herefordshire, County of

St Mary, Yazor

Uploader's Comments

The 'new' Yazor church, built in 1843 by George Moore for Uvedale Price of Foxley. Spire added by John Taylor in 1851. Now in the care of the Churches Conservation Trust; a fine example of an estate church, built by the lane which gives access to Price's great house at Foxley, now sadly gone. The fine woodwork around the organ. Pugin's Price memorial, Godwin's tiles and the wondrous Gurney stove complete the picture.
