Grass and gorse near to Askham

Uploader's Comments

Askham is a Cumbrian village at the eastern side of the 'Far Eastern Fells'. A long finger of access land extends from the hill country towards the village and part of it is seen in this image. Usually access land has a rough appearance whereas here there is a finer grass with the gorse scrub - explained probably by the existence of limestone as the local, near-surface rock.
