Effigy in Kite Hill Wood

Uploader's Comments

The effigy stands just over seven feet high and seems to represent a pregnant female. It appears to have been carved from a piece of oak and rumour has it that it was created by Polish prisoners of war during the second world war. It is situated very near to the footpath that runs along the edge of the wood.
