Upper Reddale Clough, Derbyshire

Bog Wood

Uploader's Comments

Although this area is completely devoid of trees and bushes several old tree stumps and logs can be seen in places where the peat has been washed away, it is said they are several thousand of years old, growing at a time when the climate may have been less wet and warmer before the formation of the peat layer.
