Belvide Reservoir is in South Staffordshire, and is owned by British Waterways. It was built in about 1833 to feed the Birmingham and Liverpool Junction Canal, (now the Shropshire Union Canal). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Belvide_Reservoir
